Makom BaZman

A Place For Community,
At the Time We Need It Most.

Or Hadash has recently undertaken a new project – Makom BaZman/מקום בזמן. A “Place Just In Time”, Makom BaZman will serve as a community center in Haifa. It will provide needed spaces for workshops, gatherings and classes focused on healing and rejuvenation for our strong but tired people. In partnership with the University of Haifa, it will also serve as the clinical arm for the University’s NGO Management Programming, hosting lectures and seminars by experienced managers and community organizers. In addition, the center will support ongoing work in Haifa to bridge the gaps between our diverse communities of different religions, different ethnicities, and different political perspectives.

The first step in the Makom BaZman project is the renovation of the physical space in the Or Hadash building that will host the center. This work is currently in the planning stages, and we are actively raising funds for its start.
